Kids Category advertising
YovoAds Kids Advertising Practices
This page documents the advertising practices we use for kids apps and Kids Category submissions. Our goal is simple: ads shown in children’s experiences must be contextual, clearly identified, age-appropriate, and reviewed before they are enabled.
Contextual advertising only for kids
For child-directed traffic, YovoAds does not use behavioral advertising, remarketing, or interest-based targeting based on a child’s personal information. Ad decisions are made from contextual and operational signals such as the app, placement, ad format, country, store profile, and campaign configuration.
Human review of creatives
YovoAds-managed cross-promotion creatives are reviewed by our team before being enabled in kids apps. During review we check that creatives are age-appropriate, non-deceptive, clearly commercial where required, and suitable for the app’s audience.
- No adult, sexual, dating, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, drug, shocking, or violent creative content.
- No misleading buttons, fake system UI, or tactics designed to cause accidental clicks.
- No creatives that pressure children to make purchases or leave the app without an appropriate gate.
- Commercial surfaces controlled by YovoAds are labeled as advertising or promotional content where applicable.
- Third-party ad networks must have their own publicly documented child-safety and creative-review practices.
Third-party advertising services
When a YovoAds SDK build uses third-party contextual advertising in a kids app, we rely on services with published child-directed or Kids Category documentation and creative policy controls.
- Google AdMob: comply with Families Policy using AdMob
- Google Ads policies and human evaluation
- Unity Ads: child-directed ad network settings
- Unity Ads: creative moderation and age rating
- Unity Advertising and Monetization Services Content Policy
- Kidoz SDK Guide and Kids Category compliance
- LevelPlay / ironSource: children and child-directed apps
SDK documentation
Our SDK release documentation records which advertising services are present in each market profile and which iOS dependencies are linked for App Store builds.
Reporting inappropriate ads
If a parent, reviewer, or user sees an ad that appears inappropriate for children, please contact us at yovogames@gmail.com with the app name, country, approximate time, and screenshot if available. We review reports and block or remove inappropriate creatives or sources from kids placements.
